Sound Education was formed in January, 2001 after a plea from several Portland Oregon teachers, who were family, friends and co-workers, for an affordable quality classroom amplification system.  These teachers and many more had been sold on the concept, usefulness and greatly enhanced learning environment provided by the amplification systems; however budget constraints prohibited their purchase.  The $1100 to $1600 per classroom price tag promoted by classroom amplification companies vying for business in Portland made the technology out of reach for most schools and teachers.

The owners of Sound Education, a retired teacher of 30 years and a retired law enforcement officer of 30 years, after experiencing the benefits of classroom amplification and after the pleas from our educator friends and spouses, began a nationwide search for a high quality, affordable classroom amplification system.  The owners, having a background using Nady Systems Inc. wireless musical equipment, amplifiers, and musical equipment, contacted Nady Systems Inc, a world leader in wireless amplification equipment.  After many meetings with Nady Systems Inc. about the benefits of classroom amplification systems, Nady recognized the tremendous benefits and need; thus, a working relationship between Nady Systems Inc, and Sound Education was born, dedicated to developing and providing quality and affordable classroom amplification systems.  Recognizing the dedication and quality product offered by our company, Sound Education was designated as approved vendors for the Portland Public School District, Orient School District, North Clackamas School District, and Gresham School District in Oregon.

Sound Education deeply believes that our children are our future and that it is our responsibility to provide them with the finest learning environments possible.  Today, Sound Education is dedicated to continuing its work providing high quality, low cost classroom amplification systems to educators and children alike.
